Abstract

Lock cylinder comprises a cylinder core (2) having a key channel (3) and core bores (13) running perpendicular to the key channel in which core pins (5) are inserted. The core pins are forced through the key channel into openings (12) opposite the core bores with their rounded or pointed ends (8) by a spring (7). A supplementary tumbler (9) is inserted into at least one opening and held in its locked position by the core pin. An Independent claim is also included for a turning flat key for the lock cylinder. Preferred Features: The opening continues into a core edge recess (11) lying opposite a lock recess (10) of the lock cylinder housing (1).
