Abstract

The invention relates to a building. There are many different known types of buildings, notably residential buildings. Common among these are buildings with load-bearing outer walls. A disadvantage of these buildings is that they require large foundations to support the load-bearing outer walls. Because the building provided for in the invention comprises a central column on which the building is suspended in the manner of an umbrella, only small foundations are required. The ceilings and walls are suspended on a substantially cylindrical central column.
