Description
Verfahren zur Reinigung vnn Abwasser mit belebtem Schlamm Bei dem Verfahren zur Reinigung von Abwasser mit belebtem Schlamm durchfließt das Abwasser zuerst Vork:Yrb-ecken, die meist mit Schlammfaulung verbunden sind,, .dann Lüftungsbecken und dann Nachklärbecken. Der in den Nachklärbecken ausgeschiedene belebte Schlamm wird im Kreislauf immer wieder durch die Lüftungsbecken geführt, soweit er nicht als überschußscblamm in .die Vorklärbecken gepumpt und so durch Ausfaulen beseitigt wird. Bei diesem Verfahren hat man den Nachteil, daß stets die gesamte Menge des bebten Schlammes in vollster Leistungsfähigkeit durch Lüftung gesund erhalten werden muß. Es hat sich aber herausgestellt, daß man dieselbe Reinigungswirkung für das Abwasser erreicht, wenn man nacheinander in mehreren Reinigungsstufen arbeitet, und zwar derart, daß man in den ersten Reinigungsstufen belebten Schlamm von geringerer Güte verwandet, in der oder den letzten Reinigungsstufen den Schlamm vollster Leistungsfähigkeit mit dem Abwasser in Verbindung bringt. Vor allem ist es -ganz unnötig, daß der üb.erschußschlamin, der beseitigt wird, von. guter, biologischer Beschaffenheit ist. Man wird hiernach eine besonders wirtschaftliche Betriebsweise und eine Einschränkung der gesamten Raumgröße erreichen, wenn -es gelingt, den belebten Schlamm im Gegenstroh durch das Abwasser fortzubewegen in dem Sinne, daß der wirksamste und gesundeste Schlamm zuerst an der Abflußseite arbeitet und daß der Schlamm dann mit fortschreitender Erschöpfung seiner Reinigungskraft dem Zufluß zuwandert, bis er als wertloser, ausgenutzter, Irranker Schlamm in die Faulräume der Vorklärbecken gebracht wird. Eine Vorrichtung, die diese Betriebswei§e ermöglicht, ist in Abb. i und z dargestellt. Die Anlage besteht aus einem Vorkl;ärbecken mit Schlammfaiilung (Emscherbrunnen) a und drei Lüftungsbecken b, c, tl, von denen jedes gleich mit besonderen Nachklärbecken e, f, &r verbunden ist, so daß der Rücklaufs.chlamm selbsttätig in bekannter Weise immer wieder in das Lüftungsbecken zurückrutscht.
