Der Akku zur Stromversorgung kann über eine Schnittstelle 5 abnehmbar mit der Grundeinheit 1 verbunden werden, aber auch fest im Funkgerät eingebaut sein. Das Funkteil besitzt einen konstruktiven Aufbau, der ähnlich einem Wechselakku ist und somit vom Benutzer gewechselt werden kann. Die Schnitt stelle, über die das Funkteil angesteuert werden kann, ist mechanisch und elektrisch für alle Funkteile gleich.
