Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kaugummiware, die als Ersatzstoff
für coffeinhaltige Getränke und Coffeintabletten geeignet ist.
Sie besteht aus einer Kaugummigrundmasse, Coffein und
gegebenenfalls weiteren üblichen Kaugummibestandteilen,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in der Kaugummigrundmasse
dispergiert Coffein oder coffeinhaltige Substanzen enthalten
sind. Die Menge des Coffeins, berechnet als Reinstoff und
bezogen auf das Gewicht des Fertigproduktes beträgt hierbei
0,5 bis 10 Gew.-%.
Coffein regt das Herz-Kreislaufsystem und das Zentral
nervensystem an und wirkt dadurch Ermüdungszuständen entgegen.
Coffein ist vor allem im Kaffee, Tee oder Cola-Getränken ent
halten und wird auch in dieser Form am häufigsten konsumiert.
Der Nachteil der flüssigen Coffeinaufnahme besteht einerseits
darin, daß sie nicht immer möglich ist, z. B. während längerer
Autofahrten, andererseits in der harntreibenden Wirkung, die
auf der Flüssigkeitsaufnahme beruht und durch das Coffein ver
stärkt wird, da dieses auch die Nierenfunktion anregt.
Außerdem ist hier eine exakte Dosierung des Coffeins nicht
möglich.
Bei coffeinhaltigen Pharmaerzeugnissen ist zwar eine exakte
Dosierung des Coffeins möglich, jedoch ist diese Einnahmeform
mit keinerlei Genuß verbunden, da hier das Geschmackserlebnis
fehlt.
Die Einnahme von Coffein durch Kauen von coffeinhaltiger
Kaugummiware bietet im Vergleich zu den o.g. Möglichkeiten
folgende Vorteile:
- a) einfache Handhabung und ständige Verfügbarkeit (die Kaugummiware kann z. B. während einer Autofahrt gekaut werden)
- b) exakte Dosierung möglich
- c) keine harntreibende Wirkung
- d) Geschmackserlebnis und Kaugenuß
- e) länger anhaltende Wirkung des Coffeins, da dieses nicht auf einmal sondern nach und nach während des Kauvorganges freige setzt wird. Im Gegensatz hierzu sind beim Kaffeegenuß bereits nach 30 Minuten etwa 80% des Coffeins aus dem Magen-Darm-Trakt resorbiert. (Quelle: Broschüre "Kaffee Tee Kakao", 1989, herausgegeben vom AID).
In Bezug auf die langsame Freisetzung des Coffeins während des
Kauvorganges sei hier auf die deutsche Auslegeschrift 21 36
118 verwiesen. Diese Auslegeschrift beschreibt einen
nikotinhaltigen Kaugummi als Rauchwarenersatz. Viele der dort
gewonnenen Erkenntnisse lassen sich auch auf den
coffeinhaltigen Kaugummi übertragen.
Die o.g. Vorteile können erzielt werden, indem man Coffein in
einer geeigneten Menge in eine Kaugummimasse einarbeitet.
Die unterschiedlichen Typen von Kaugummigrundmasse, sowie die
weiteren Kaugummibestandteile werden in der deutschen
Auslegeschrift 21 36 118 ausführlich beschrieben.
Der Coffeingehalt eines Kaugummis könnte dem Coffeingehalt
einer Tasse Kaffee entsprechen, die im Schnitt 60 bis 80 mg
Coffein enthält.(Quelle: Broschüre "Kaffee Tee Kakao",
1989, AID). Bei handelsüblichen Kaugummiprodukten beträgt das
Gewicht einer Kaugummieinheit normalerweise 1 bis 2 g. Da das
Coffein einen sehr bitteren Eigengeschmack hat, sollte die
Coffeinmenge im Vergleich zur Menge der Kaugummimasse nicht zu
hoch sein.
Durch Geschmackstests hat sich gezeigt, daß eine Coffeindosis
von 60 mg pro 2 g Fertigprodukt sinnvoll ist. Daher bildet
diese Dosierung die Grundlage für die im folgenden
aufgeführten Rezepturen.

Als Kaugummigrundmasse kann im ersten Beispiel das Produkt
"XYLGUM" und im zweiten Beispiel das Produkt "LEMERY T" der
Gum Base Company S.P.A. verwendet werden. Als pyrogene
Kieselsäure kann z. B. das Produkt HDK N 20 der Wacker-Chemie
zum Einsatz kommen. Bei dem in den Rezepturen aufgeführten 5
Flüssigsüßstoff handelt es sich um eine handelsübliche
Mischung aus 10 Teilen Cyclamat und 1 Teil Saccharin.
Bei der Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Kaugummiware
verfährt man folgendermaßen:
Alle pulverförmigen Bestandteile (Sorbitpulver, pyrogene
Kieselsäure, Ascorbinsäure und Coffein) werden fein vermahlen
und zu einer gleichmäßigen Mischung vermengt.
Die Kaugummigrundmasse wird im Wasserbad geschmolzen und
solange gerührt, bis keine Klumpen mehr vorhanden sind. Dann
wird unter ständigem Rühren die Mischung der pulverförmigen
Bestandteile und der Flüssigsüßstoff hinzugegeben.
Schließlich werden die Aromaöle und das Glycerin eingegossen
und verrührt.
Die so entstandene Kaugummimasse wird abgekühlt, ausgewalzt
und so geschnitten, daß das Gewicht einer Kaugummieinheit 2 g
beträgt.
Claims (1)
- Kaugummiware, die als Ersatzstoff für coffeinhaltige Getränke und coffeinhaltige Pharmaerzeugnisse geeignet ist, bestehend aus einer Kaugummmigrundmasse, Coffein und gegebenenfalls weiteren üblichen Kaugummibestandteilen, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, daß sie in der Kaugummigrundmasse dispergiert Coffein oder coffeinhaltige Substanzen enthält, wobei die Menge des Coffeins, berechnet als Reinstoff und bezogen auf das Gewicht des Fertigproduktes, 0,5 bis 10 Gew.-% beträgt.
