Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1.
When using radio equipment for the reproduction of Radio or television programs, if necessary, also in Combination with stored picture and / or sound signals mostly with the change from one program to another a jump in the playback volume of the program signals or of the stored sound signals connected. This sudden change is very annoying.
In contrast, the object of the invention is Level jumps and their unpleasant consequences when switching between stored and / or broadcast audio To avoid program signals.
This object is achieved by the characterizing Features of claim 1 solved.
The characteristic values used according to the invention can be based on can be obtained in different ways, as in the subclaims is described.
Diese Kennwerte sind entwederThe invention is based on the fact that a characteristic value is about the mean and / or the current volume of the audio program signals is present, between which the recipient can switch. These are characteristic values either
- -Zusatzinformationen zu den Programmsignalen, die in dafür vorgesehenen Datenwegen (Radio-Daten-System RDS, Datenzeilen in Videosystemen, Datenkapazitäten in Speichermedien wie z. B. Kompakt-Disc) zur Verfügung stehen. Diese sind von den Rundfunkprogrammveranstaltern für ihre Programme vor der Übertragung ermittelt worden und vor der Übertragung in den dafür vorgesehenen Datenstrom eingegeben bzw. von den Herstellern der Speichermedien ermittelt und in den dafür vorgesehenen Datenbereichen abgelegt worden;-Additional information to the program signals used for this provided data paths (radio data system RDS, Data lines in video systems, data capacities in Storage media such as B. compact disc) available stand. These are from the broadcasters have been identified for their programs prior to transmission and before the transfer to the designated data stream entered or by the manufacturers of the storage media determined and in the designated data areas been filed;
To count in particular those broadcast by radio Program type information (PTY) and the manipulated variable via the Variable dynamics. When evaluating the PTY information can be assumed that certain Program types with a typical modulation or resulting volume of the program are linked. These parameters are static and only generally correct. in the In individual cases there may be unfavorable overlaps in the Evaluation of this information result. The control signal is about the variable dynamics for deriving the Characteristic values suitable because this control signal serves the Listener the choice of a dynamic adapted to his wishes to enable. This control signal represents the envelope the current level curve of the program signal and thus also the resulting playback volume. So it is especially good for deriving a currently valid one Suitable characteristic value.
If no parameters from additional information (PTY, direct transmitted characteristic value manipulated variable via the variable dynamics) Are available, the recipient can also use the characteristic values Obtain current signal statistics from the receivable signals. It is at the discretion of the manufacturer of receivers, this possibility to be provided for programs in which, for example, the Sending additional information is hardly to be expected, especially for LW, MW and KW. Stand by the receiver builder So a number of ways to get a better one Volume balance between broadcast and / or stored audio program signals are available. they differ in effectiveness and effort. The best source for the determination of the characteristic values are control signals via the variable Dynamics, the next best broadcast by the program provider Characteristic values, finally the use of the program type information. The current signal statistics of the receivable program signals. It can be done by using a so-called background receiver the received and the receivable broadcast program signals continuously on a random basis be checked for their level curve and from these A characteristic value is determined. This method is in their success for the determination of characteristic values with the use of the Control signal for the variable dynamics comparable.
The invention is based on an embodiment in the single drawing explained in more detail. The figure shows a Block diagram of a circuit arrangement for performing the inventive method.
Dabei wird für die erfindungsgemäßen Zwecke davon ausgegangen, daß das Audiogerät 90 einen oder mehrere Ausgänge 91 bis 94 fürAs can be seen from the figure, an audio device 90 has built-in radio reception parts and playback parts for sound signal memories such as cassettes or compact discs. It is assumed for the purposes of the invention that the audio device 90 one or more outputs 91 to 94 for
- - direkt übertragene Pegelkennwerte (Ausgang 91),- directly transmitted level parameters (output 91 ),
- - Programmarteninformationen (PTY; Ausgang 92),- program type information (PTY; output 92 ),
- - Steuersignale für die Variable Dynamik (DRC = Dynamic Range Control; Ausgang 93), oder- Control signals for the variable dynamic range (DRC = Dynamic Range Control; output 93 ), or
- - für einen durch stichprobenartige Analyse des empfangenen und weiterer empfangbarer Programme mittels Hintergrundempfänger gewonnenen mittleren Pegelwert (Ausgang 94)for an average level value obtained by random analysis of the received and further receivable programs by means of a background receiver (output 94 )
auf.on.
The outputs 91 to 94 lead to a stage 10 , which takes the characteristic values from this information (output 91 ) or determines them (outputs 92 to 94 ). The characteristic values are fed from the stage 10 via the signal path 15 to a characteristic value memory 20 , where they are stored. A selection stage 30 is provided for the switching process with an adjusted volume balance between the program signal currently being reproduced and the program signal to be replayed, which receives information 51 from a program selection stage 50 about the selected program signal. In accordance with this information 51 , the selection stage 30 reads out the associated characteristic value from the memory 20 . As soon as the listener selects a new program signal via the program selection stage 50 , the characteristic value belonging to the new program is retrieved from the memory 20 by the selection stage 30 . The program selection stage 50 causes the audio device 90 , via the signal path 52 , to also switch on the newly selected program signal, which is fed to the switching stage 80 via the signal path 82 . The switching stage 80 then switches from the previously received program signal supplied via the signal path 81 to the new signal program supplied via the signal path 82 . The switching stage 80 can also be integrated in the audio device 90 ; in this case the signal paths 81 and 82 and the switching stage 80 are unnecessary. A processing stage 40 downstream of the selection stage 30 determines a level correction value from the two characteristic values supplied by the selection stage 30 via the signal path 31 for the previously received and the newly received program signal, if necessary, taking into account a further weighting, which the listener has made by inputting a previous one Level 60 is done. The level correction value is fed via the signal path 41 to a control stage 70 , which regulates the level of the sound signal supplied by the switching stage 80 via the signal path 83 .
