Der Schilfer wurde im Expander wiederum auf ca. 105°C aufgeheizt und durch Dampfeinwirkung auf einen Wassergehalt von ca. 10% konditioniert. Als Extraktionsmittel diente Hexan. Der Restölgehalt betrug nunmehr 0,95%.
