Description

The well-known three-phase zero voltage magnets are provided with three coils. These zero-voltage magnets have the disadvantage that if only one phase is de-energized, the armature does not fall off with certainty, but often sticks because it is still held in place by the other two legs. The three-phase zero-voltage magnet described below avoids this disadvantage. It consists of only two magnetic legs on which the voltage coils are attached. The anchor consists of two parts and is set up so that one part can fall off independently of the other.
In the drawing, α and b denote the two magnet legs, c, d and e the connections of the three-phase network, / and g the two armature parts.

Is z. B. the phase c is interrupted, the coil on leg a is de-energized, whereby the armature / drops and causes the trip. When the phase connected to e is interrupted, the armature g drops out, and when the phase connected to d is interrupted, the two coils, since they are wound in opposite directions, act against each other, whereby their effect is canceled out and both armature halves drop out at the same time.
