B. unlösliches Strontiumsilikat auf eine Strontium-und Kalziumsalz enthaltende Lösung in der Wärme einwirken, so vollzieht sich ein Umtausch derart, daß das Kalzium unter Bildung von Kalziumsilikat unlöslich wird, während das Strontium sich von der Kieselsäure trennt und in Lösung geht. Auf diese Weise kann man Lösungen, welche neben Strontiumsalzen noch Kalziumsalze enthalten, teilweise oder auch ganz von letzterem befreien und sie gleichzeitig an Strontiumsalz anreichern.
