Abstract

Connecting element for the air-tight and fluid-tight connection of polygonal, in particular square, plastic pipes, comprising a load-bearing member which is provided with a flange and is intended for fitting, in particular welding, to the pipe end, in the case of which the load-bearing member (3) is formed by a grooved profile strip having a length corresponding approximately to the edge length of the polygonal pipe (1), and the flange (2) is formed by a flange profile which is undercut with respect to the load-bearing member (3) and is essentially in the form of a quarter round bar which matches up with the flange profile of the opposite pipe to form a half profile, undercut on both sides, the two flange profiles being held against one another by means of a slit bracing pipe (7) which has a slightly smaller internal diameter and/or radius of curvature than the flange profile (2). The load-bearing member (3) may be formed by an angle profile or a U-profile of an opening width corresponding to the thickness of the pipe wall, on one side cheek of which the flange profile (2) is fitted integrally in a flush manner. Description

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Flanschverbindung gemäß dem Ober­ begriff des Patentanspruches 1.The invention is based on a flange connection according to the Ober Concept of claim 1.

Bei der Installation von Entlüftungsanlagen in der chemischen Indu­ strie kommt es - neben der Chemikalienbeständigkeit - insbesondere auf eine absolut flüssigkeitsdichte Herstellung der Entlüftungsrohre an, um einen Austritt von sich eventuell bildendem Kondensat und Abtropfen in die Arbeitsräume absolut auszuschließen. Aus diesem Grunde werden Entlüftungs­ leitungen für diesen Zweck heute aus Rohrstücken aus hochwertigem, chemi­ kalienbeständigem Kunststoff montiert, die bisher entweder durch direktes stumpfes Verschweißen der Rohrenden oder durch Verschweißen eines Flansch­ rahmens beidseitig an den Rohrenden und anschließendes Verschrauben unter Einlegen einer Dichtung miteinander verbunden werden. Das beim Stumpf­ schweißen von Kunststoffrohren auftretenden Probleme sind allgemein hin­ länglich bekannt, aus welchem Grunde im allgemeinen die Flanschverbindung bevorzugt wird, die jedoch einen außerordentlich hohen Montageaufwand erfordert. Dies hat seine Ursache darin, daß das Anschweißen des Flansch­ rahmens zur Gewährleistung der geforderten Dichtigkeit mit mehreren - min­ destens zwei - Schweißnähten erfolgen muß und ein Schraubenabstand von maximal 70 mm verlangt wird, was bei den Größen der für den genannten Zweck eingesetzten Rohre das Setzen einer Vielzahl von Schrauben erfor­ dert. Dasselbe gilt selbstverständlich auch im Falle der Notwendigkeit des Austausches eines Rohrstückes bei Auftreten eines Schadens.When installing ventilation systems in the chemical industry, it is - in addition to chemical resistance - particularly important that the ventilation pipes are manufactured absolutely liquid-tight in order to absolutely prevent any condensate from forming and dripping into the work rooms. Das in der Zeichnung - Fig. 1 - wiedergegebene Verbindungselement zur luft- und flüssigkeitsdichten Verbindung von mehreckigen, insbesondere viereckigen Rohren 1 aus Kunststoff besteht aus einem mit einem Flansch 2 versehenen, der Anbringung, insbesondere Verschweißen mit dem Rohrende be­ stimmten Träger 3 dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Träger 3 von einer ge­ kehlten Profilleiste mit einer etwa der Kantenlänge des Mehrkantrohres 1 entsprechenden Länge und der Flansch 2 von einem mit dem Rohr 1 eine Hin­ terschneidung 4 einschließenden, im wesentlichen die Form eines sich mit dem Flanschprofil des Gegenrohres zu einem beidseitig hinterschnittenen Halbprofil ergänzenden Viertel-Rundstabes gebildet ist, die mittels eines geschlitzten Spannrohres 7 gegeneinander gehalten sind, das einen gering­ fügig geringeren Innendurchmesser bzw. Im Falle der in Fig. 1 wiedergegebenen Ausführungsform ist der Träger 3 von einem - in achsparalleler Richtung überschiebbaren - U-profil einer der Stärke der Rohrwandung entsprechenden Öffnungsweite gebildet ist, an dessen einer Seitenwange das Flanschprofil 2 materialschlüssig bündig angebracht ist, er kann jedoch auch in der in Fig. 2 wiedergegebenen Weise von einem - seitlich einschiebbaren - Winkelprofil 6 gebildet sein, dessen Innenschenkel bündig mit der Innenfläche des Rohres endet, so daß eine nicht unterbrochene Ebene gebildet wird, über die eventuell aus dem ge­ führten Gas ausfallendes Kondensat bei entsprechend schwach geneigter Mon­ tage des Rohres ungehindert abfließen und gesammelt aufgefangen werden kann. Nach stirnseitigem Gegeneinanderlegen der Flansche 2 erfolgt die Verbindung durch einfaches Überschieben des Spannrohres 7 über das so gebildete Halbprofil. Hierbei wird einerseits durch die Querkehlung 5 des beidseitig benachbarten Profils in Verlän­ gerung der Hinterschneidung das ungehinderte Überschieben auch bei Auf­ bringung eines geschlosenen Rahmens auf das Rohrende ermöglicht und andererseits die feste Verbindung dadurch hergestellt, daß sich das einen kleineren Krümmungsradius als das Flanschprofil aufweisende Spannrohr sowohl im Bereich der Hinterschneidung bzw. auf der inneren Profilseite als auch in der Klemmrohrmitte in zwei Linien zu einer stabilen Verbindung fest um den Flansch spannt.The assembly is extremely simple. Verbindungselement zur luft- und flüssigkeitsdichten Verbindung von mehreckigen, insbesondere viereckigen Rohren aus Kunststoff, bestehend aus einem mit einem Flansch versehenen, der Anbringung, insbesondere Ver­ schweißen mit dem Rohrende bestimmten Träger, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Träger (3) von einer gekehlten Profilleiste mit einer etwa der Kanten­ länge des Mehrkantrohres (1) entsprechenden Länge und der Flansch (2) von einem gegenüber dem Träger (3) hinterschnittenen und im wesentlichen die Form eines sich mit dem Flanschprofil des Gegenrohres zu einem beidseitig hinterschnittenen Halbprofil ergänzenden Viertel-Rundstabes gebildet ist, die mittels eines geschlitzten Spannrohres (7) gegeneinander gehalten sind, das einen geringfügig geringeren Innendurchmesser bezw. Krümmungs­ radius als das Flanschprofils (3) aufweist.1.
