Abstract

This selective cooling device not only provides a simple and effective solution to cooling and lubricating problems on machine tools, but also permits additional means of machining workpieces. The object of the invention is to carry out, for example, axial and radial machining operations on turned parts. This object is achieved in that the tool holder drives a tool by a cooling medium under pressure. Thus, eccentric bores, internal and external polygons, positive and negative grooves, threads, etc, can be made, for example, on turned parts. Axial and radial movements can thus be carried out in a superimposed manner by this solution.
