Abstract

The invention of my tidal power station is based on the recognition of how the immense force of the tidal motions of the oceans can be converted into useful energy. For the first time, compressed air is generated in tanks anchored in the sea and stored on land in tanks, by the tidal oscillation and not the tidal stream. The advantage over conventional running-water power stations is that compressed air can be stored almost indefinitely, and discharged only when needed. I must emphasise in particular the absolute environmental friendliness of my invention compared to coal-fired and nuclear power stations. I consider our sophisticated shipyards, which are working at much less than capacity, suitable builders of my tidal power station, which could be erected all over the world.

Description

The invention serves to obtain compressed air for generation of electrical energy and according to the current state of the art Technology feasible. The different water levels at low tide and tide on all coasts of the oceans becomes pressure air extraction is used. In order to achieve this, immediate near the mainland, large kettles are anchored in the seabed. The kettle is open at the bottom, so that a float is with the movement of the water can move up and down. The swim mer is about a piston rod with a piston in the top, closed part of the boiler firmly connected. Through the tide ten movement of the water, are in the pressure vessel, once above once below, huge amounts of compressed air are generated via pipelines is directed to storage tanks located on land. From there who the generators generating electricity via turbines. These Form of energy generation is absolutely environmentally friendly and can from all countries of the world with the Gezei on sea coasts tenhub are operated. In addition, this type of Electricity generation in the foreseeable future nuclear and coal power plants make redundant.
