Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung offengedrehter Garne. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung offengedrehter Garne und besteht darin, daß ausgesponnene Garne mit Klebstoff getränkt und nach dem Trocknen desselben aufgedreht werden.Process for the production of open twisted yarns. Bekanntlich muß jeder Faden einen bestimmten Drall haben, damit er ohne zu zerreißen be- und verarbeitet werden kann. Der Drall verleiht dem Faden die erforderliche Zugfestigkeit, so daß er aufgespult und verwebt oder sonstwie verarbeitet werden kann. Diese Zugfestigkeit erfordert aber häufig einen Drall, welcher für viele Garnsorten nicht erwünscht ist. Je weniger Drall nämlich ein Faden hat, desto besser wird bei sonst gleichem Garngewicht seine Völligkeit und bei bestimmten Garnsorten desto größer sein Glanz. Damit bei ofengedrehten Garnen die erforderliche Festigkeit erzielt werden kann, werden diese gemäß der Erfindung zunächst mit einem Klebstoff, z. B. Leim, Gelatine, Stärke usw., getränkt, welcher rasch trocknet und die Zugfestigkeit des Garnes erheblich vergrößert. In diesem Zustand, d. h. wenn der Klebstoff für das Gefühl trocken ist, wird das Garn aufgedreht, ohne daß seine Festigkeit übermäßig verringert wird. Es ist genau so stark oder noch stärker als das gedrehte, aber ungeleimte Garn. Es wird also gemäß der Erfindung der Festigkeitsfaktor Drall ganz oder zum großen Teil ersetzt durch die Festigkeitseigenschaften des Klebstoffs. Hierdurch verlaufen die einzelnen Fasern mehr in der Längsrichtung, und die Faser erhält eine größere Völligkeit oder Füllfähigkeit bei demselben Garngewicht. In den meisten Fällen ist hiermit noch ein größerer Glanz und eine bessere Haftfähigkeit für Imprägnierstoffe usw. verbunden, auch können Gewebe, die mit derartigen Fäden hergestellt sind, leichter gekämmt oder gerauht werden.
