Bei vorliegendem Thürschlofs mit gemeinschaftlichem Klink-, Schliefs- und Nachtriegel-Apparat sind die verschiedenen Functionen des Riegels A hauptsächlich dadurch ermöglicht, dafs die Zuhaltung B im ersteren Falle unmittelbar zur Bewegung der Klinke dient. Haken η der Zuhaltung liegt alsdann vor dem ersten Ansatz a_t des Riegels. Wird nun durch den Handdrücker die Nufs C nach rechts umgedreht, so bewegt auch die Zuhaltung und somit der Riegel sich nach hinten. Die um den ovalen Dorn D gewundene Feder treibt die Klinke und die Feder E treibt die Nufs und die Zuhaltung wieder nach vorn. Wird der Riegel (mittelst gewöhnlichen Schlüssels) zum Schliefsen benutzt, dann legt sich Haken η der Zuhaltung hinter einen der Ansätze α_Λ a₂ des Riegels und, da alsdann die Zuhaltung mittelst ihrer Nase q das Drehen der Nufs um deren Axe verhindert, so ist hierdurch ein Bewegen des Riegels mittelst des Drückers verhindert, so dafs der Riegel in diesem Falle nur zum Schliefsen dienen kann. Wenn nun die untere Nufs durch Richtung ihrer Nase m nach dem Schlüsselloch zu, der Zuhaltung überhaupt ein entsprechendes Senken nicht gestattet, so hat man bei eingeklinkter Thür kein Mittel, um die Klinke zurückzubewegen, so dafs dieselbe dann als Nachtriegel dient.In the present Thürschlof with a common latch, sleep and night latch apparatus, the various functions of the bolt A are mainly made possible by the fact that the tumbler B in the former case is used directly to move the latch.
