Die in dieser Vertiefung angebrachte Befestigungsschiene ist hierdurch verdeckt und gegen Witterungseinfluß geschützt angebracht. An diesen Befestigungsschienen können dann beispielsweise ein den Baukörper überdeckendes Satteldach, aber auch Pflanzgerüste, Pergolen, die Rahmenkonstruktion eines Gewächshauses oder dergleichen befestigt werden.
