Bei der folgenden Construction eines Kofferschlosses sind an der Aufsenseite desselben keine besonderen leicht zu erkennenden Marken für die Oeffnung des Versteckschiebers, sondern nur ein oder zwei Schraubenköpfe angebracht, welche den Zweck haben, eine ihnen ertheilte Drehbewegung auf den Auslösungs-Mechanismus des Versteckes zu übertragen; diese Schrauben sind äufserlich genau so geformt, wie die Köpfe der wirklichen Befestigungs - Schrauben des Schlosses, weshalb man sie von jenen nicht zu unterscheiden vermag. An die Innenseite des Gehäuses ist aber die nach aufsen gegen die Klappe G drückende Plattenfeder e angebracht, welche bewirkt, dafs G, sobald die Federn E₁ E₂ gehörig gehoben werden, sofort nach aufsen geworfen wird und in die in Fig. 2 b gezeichnete Stellung gelangt. Hierdurch wird das Schlüsselloch frei und kann das eigentliche Schlofs H₁ Fig. 2, geschlossen bezw. geöffnet werden. H ist ein sogen. (1 V₂-Touren-) Drücker- oder Riegelschlofs, welches gestattet, dafs man beim Verschliefsen ohne Anwendung eines Schlüssels, durch einfaches Eindrücken des Schliefsbügels C, den Riegel J zurückdrängen kann, so dafs derselbe erst dann vorschnellt, wenn C an seinen richtigen Platz gelangt ist. Genügt jedoch dieses provisorische Verschliefsen nicht, so kann noch einmal mit dem Schlüssel geschlossen werden; der Riegel dringt noch weiter durch den Schliefsbügel durch und wird in seiner Endstellung durch eine Zuhaltung fixirt. Der Schliefsbügel C besteht aus einem Stück mit der um die Zapfen A₁A₂ drehbaren Klappe K, welche beim Oeffnen des Schlosses durch Zurückschieben des Riegels J frei wird und in bekannter Weise durch die Feder L herausgeschnellt wird.
