Die Erfindung bezi.ellt sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Auslöschen von Petroleumlampen o. dgl. mit Flachbrennern und zum Ebnen und Reinigen des abgebrannten Dochtes.Device for extinguishing wick lamps. Diese Vorrichtung ist .in Fig. i der Zeichnung an .einem Lampenbrenner angebracht abgebildet. Die untere Fläche 5 der Deck- und Reibplatte 9 ist raub gemacht wie eine Feile. Wird die Hülse 2 gehoben, so überdeckt die Deckplatte selbsttätig .die Flamme von oben, löscht dieselbe aus und vollführt dabei eine Reibwirkung am abgebrannten Dochtende (Fig..l. und 5). Sinkt die Hülse 2, was selbsttätig beim Freilassen des Handhebels 4. erfolgt, so ebnet die Deck- und Reibplatte hei ihrer Bewegung den abgebrannten Rand des Dochtes ii und beseitigt durch ihre raube Oberfläche dessen verkohlte Teile.
