Filamentmaterial durch eine mittlere Öffnung in einem Extrusionsschlauchwerkzeug mit hoher Geschwindigkeit gezogen wird, das fluorhaltige Polymer in Form eines Schlauches derart extrudiert wird, daß der Schlauch das mittige Faser- bzw. Filamentmaterial ummantelt, und daß das ummantelte Faser- bzw. Filamentmaterial unmittelbar nach dem Austritt aus dem Schlauchwerkzeug rasch abgeschreckt wird. Trotz der kurz zeitigen Hochtemperaturbelastung des inneren Faser- und Filamentmaterials durch das extrudierte Ummantelungsmaterial wird das innere Faser- bzw. Filamentmaterial mit einem niedrigeren Schmelzpunkt nicht zerstört.
