Das Gewicht des Gepäckstückes wird, wie aus der Zeichnung ohne weiteres ersichtlich ist, ohne Belastung der Hand unmittelbar auf den Arm übertragen, so daß das bei längerem Tragen von Gepäckstücken zu beobachtende Absterben der Finger nicht eintreten kann; die Hand dient vielmehr nur dazu, Schwankungen des Gepäckstückes; zu verhindern und das Gepäckstück in eine für das Tragen bequeme Richtung einzustellen. Statt des Riemens α könnte auch eine Spange o. dgl. zur Anwendung gelangen. Statt der Schnallen könnten bei Anwendung von Riemen Klemmriegel o. dgl. benutzt werden.
