Das Getriebe kann hierbei ein mechanisches Mehrgang-Getriebe mit Freilauf aufweisen oder beispielsweise auch eine Hydraulikpumpe, einen Speicher sowie einen Hydraulikmotor zum Antrieb der Räder. Die Lenkung kann beispielsweise über zwei getrennte Pedale 4 erfolgen, ähnlich der Steuerung bei einem Paddelbot.
