Abstract

The dump heap reclaimer has a long frame below which is supported a line of scraper cells in the manner of an endless conveyor. It has scraping edges (10) sloping to match the slope of the dump heap. These edges incorporate cutting teeth, and are attached to plates (11) which carry on one side scraper plates (18) also with cutting teeth (19). The cells are completed by plates (12) on the opposite side to the scraper plates. These toothed plates are trapezoidal, and the design ensures that the cells are completely filled during their travel towards the discharge point. The cells are supported by load carrying rollers (14) at the bottom and guide rollers (15) at the top, travelling inside channel tracks (16).
