Gelenkpfanne für den Kugelkopf einer Huftgelenk-Endoprothese
Bei Ersatz eines Hüftgelenkes durch eine Gelenk-Endoprothese wird im allgemeinen so vorgegangen, daß einmal im Becken des Patienten die natürliche Kugelgelenkpfanne durch eine Pfanne aus Kunststoff, Keramik oder Metall und zum anderen' der Kugelkopf des Schenkelknochens durch einen Kugelkopf aus Metall, Keramik oder dergleichen ersetzt wird und diese beiden Teile, in Eingriff gebracht werden. Bei bekannten Hüftgelenk-Endoprothesen kommt der Kugelkopf der Gelenkprothese in der eingesetzten Gelenkpfanne der Prothese unmittelbar zur harten Anlage, so daß die lotrechten Belastungen beim Gehen oder Laufen des Patienten verhältnismäßig starr und unmittelbar von der Gelenkprothese aufgenommen werden, was naturgemäß zu einem Verschleiß des Ersatzgelenkes führen muß und auch Erschütterungen für den Patienten mit sich bringt.
Die Aufgabe der Erfindung besteht darin, den bisher zu erwartenden Verschleiß auszuschalten bzw. auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren.

Diese Aufgabe wird nach, der Erfindung durch, die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruches 1 gelöst.
Durch die Lösung nach der Erfindung wird erreicht, daß Stöße beim Auftreten des Patienten auf dem Boden elastisch von der das natürliche Gelenk ersetzende! Huftgelenkprothese aufgenommen werden, denn nunmehr kann der Kugelkopf bei jedem Schritt des Patienten die Gelenkpfanne bzw. den Kunststoffeinsatz elastisch nachgebend gegen den Puffer drücken und dieses elastisch komprimieren, womit jeder Tritt des Patienten praktisch elastisch im Gelenk aufgenommen wird und dadurch die Berührungsflächen der Hüftgelenkprothese nur sehr wenig auf Verschleiß beansprucht werden, so daß eine wesentlich erhöhte Lebensdauer der Gelenkprothesen zu erwarten ist. Abgesehen davon wird jeder Tritt nunmehr vom Patienten weich elastisch aufgenommen und damit auch die Gehoder Laufbewegung entscheidend erleichtert.
Die Erfindung wird nachstehend anhand der Zeichnung erläutert, in der ein Achsschnitt einer Gelenkpfanne einer Hüftgelenkprothese dargestellt ist.
Nach dem Ausführungsbeispiel besteht die Gelenkpfanne für den Kugelkopf einer Hüftgelenk-Oberschenkelprothese aus einem im Becken zu verankernden metallischen, körperverträglichem Hohlzylinder 1 mit abschließendem Boden 2. Zur einwandfreien Verankerung ist der Zylinder 1 außen mit Aufrauhungen, Rillen oder

Gewindegängen versehen. In diesen an sich bekannten Zylindertopf 1,2 ist ein Einsatz 3 aus Kunststoff mit einer etwa halbkugeligen Ausnehmung 4 axial begrenzt beweglich eingepaßt und zwar dadurch, daß der im wesentlichen steife Einsatz 3 gegen einen vorteilhaft aus Silikon bestehenden Puffer 5 aus elastisch nachgebendem Material liegt. Zur Begrenzung der axialen Bewegung des Einsatzes 3 sind Anschläge vorgesehen, indem z.B. der Einsatz 3 am Rand der Ausnehmung 4 mit nach außen gerichteten Vorsprüngen oder einem umlaufenden Flansch 6 versehen ist, der von der Stirnkante des Flansches 7 des Zylindertopfes 1 einen Abstand von einigen Millimetern besitzt, entsprechend der Zusammendrückbarkeit des elastischen Puffers 5 bzw. entsprechend der axialen Bewegungsmöglichkeit des Einsatzes 3 im Zylindertopf 1,2.
Damit der Einsatz 3 nicht aus dem Zylindertopf 1,2 herausgelangen kann und z.B. beim Transport verlorengeht, ist er auf dem Außenumfang mit einzelnen, auf dem Umfang verteilten kleinen Vorsprüngen oder einem umlaufenden etwas vorspringenden Ring 8 oder Flansch 8 versehen, der in eine Nut 9 auf der Innenseite des Zylinders 1 eingreift. Die Nut 9 hat dabei mindestens eine Breite gleich der axialen Bewegungsmöglichkeit des Einsatzes 3 im Zylinder 1. Schließlich können zur axialen Führung der Teile 1 und 3 ineinander in den Flanschen 6 und 7 achsparallele Führungsstifte 10 vorgesehen sein, die entweder im Flansch 6 oder im Flansch 7 fixiert sind. Hs ist auch möglich, die Führungen 10 nach innen zu verlegen, wie gestrichelt dargestellt ist.

Die beschriebene Gelenkpfanne wird in einer Ausdrehung des Beckenknochens eingesetzt und fixiert und in die kugelige Ausnehmung 4 kommt der Kugelkopf einer Oberschenkel-Hüftgelenkprothese zum Eingriff. Durch die Gelenkpfanne wird ein elastischer Gang des Gelenkträgers erreicht, denn bei jedem Auftreten auf den Boden wird der Puffer 5 durch das Körpergewicht elastisch zusammengedrückt und dehnt sich anschließend wieder aus, womit auch eine längere Lebensdauer der Gelenkpfanne bzw. der gesamten Hüftgelenkprothese wahrscheinlich ist.

    Ansprüche
    Gelenkpfanne für den Kugelkopf einer Hüftgelenkendoprothese, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in einem metallischen oder keramischen, im Becken des Patienten zu verankernden Zylindertopf (1,2) ein verschleißfester, steifer, in einer kugeligen Ausnehmung (4) den Kugelkopf einer Hüftgelenkprothese aufnehmender Kunststoffeinsatz (3) gegen einen elastischen Puffer (5) begrenzt axial beweglich eingepaßt ist.
  2. 2. Gelenkpfanne nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im Zylindertopf (1, 2) zwischen seinem Boden (2) und dem Einsatz (3) ein elastischer Puffer (5) in Form einer Zylinderscheibe vorgesehen ist und daß die äußere Umfangskante des Einsatzes mit einem Rädialflansch (6) versehen ist, der einen axialen Abstand von dem Öffnungsrand des Zylindertopfes (T) aufweist.
  3. 3. Gelenkpfanne nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Umfang des Kunststoffeinsatzes (3) mit verteilten Vorsprüngen oder einen Umfangsring versehen ist, der in eine Nut auf der Innenseite des Zylinders 1 eingreift, deren Breite
