Advertising and information system for sports that combines advertising space with a radar device and display.

In practice, the problem usually arises that the increasing flood of information and the associated increase in advertising space make it increasingly difficult to attract the attention of spectators at sporting events to advertising messages.

The task was to create advertising media that stand out from other, already existing advertising media in such a way that the advertising material displayed there attracts the necessary attention and thus the desired advertising effect is achieved or can be increased.

Radar devices for measuring speeds, displays with LEDs, digital or flip displays, etc. as well as holders for suitable advertising materials have been known for some time and are therefore state of the art. This ensures production and assembly in large quantities.

The invention of this advertising and information system solves the problem, as the information unit provides important information to all those involved in a sporting event (display of the actual speed of balls, rowing boats, athletes, etc.). This information unit not only draws the attention of athletes, teams, organizers, etc., but also the attention of all spectators, as the speeds achieved are usually crucial for sporting success (e.g. serve speed

in tennis). This newly developed advertising system, which can be set up at almost all sporting events, offers the possibility of providing advertising space that significantly increases the level of attention it receives through the combination with a radar device and associated display. The integration of solar units or batteries enables flexible use.

The advertising and information system (Fig. 1) consists of the following components: a stand (Fig. 1.1), a robust, ventilated and waterproof housing (Fig. 1.2) for the radar measuring device (with adjustment option), the display (LED, digital or flip displays etc.), the lighting unit for displaying the measured values, the battery (independent of the power grid) and all the electronics. A solar unit with an adjustable attachment (Fig. 1.3) and solar cells (Fig. 1.4) can be mounted on the housing. The housing (Fig. 1.2) has a door with a security lock (Fig. 1.8) on one side (shown here for the right side), at the back or at the top for servicing the electronic devices or for exchanging the advertising material and contains the integrated measuring unit (Fig. 1.7), a display (Fig. 1.5), possibly a battery, the lighting for the display and advertising space and a glass or plexiglass panel over the front. The outside of the housing can be used as advertising space. The front and sides of the housing (Fig. 1.6) have brackets that allow standardized

Advertising signs can also be attached. It is also possible to glue the advertising material on or paint it permanently at low cost. The advertising material on the back and side walls of the housing can be attached in the same way as the front. Alternatively, this advertising and information system can be hung on an existing (e.g. flag) mast using rear brackets, or the stand described above can be mounted on a trolley to ensure mobile use.

All materials that ensure the necessary stability and all safety guidelines can be used to manufacture this advertising system.

Claims (2)

1. Advertising and information system characterized in that this system consists of a robust, ventilated and waterproof housing for the electronics, which also represents the advertising medium. The housing has devices for mounting on a stand, for operation with a battery and for attaching an adjustable solar unit. The door of the housing is secured with a security lock. 2. Advertising and information system according to claim 1, characterized in that it is combined with a radar device and associated display for measuring and displaying speeds. The display can be illuminated.
