Cell phone holders in vehicles do provide a firm hold for the cell phone, fixing it in a certain position and preventing it from flying around the vehicle and becoming damaged while driving, especially during heavy braking. Any further use, such as making a call without taking the cell phone out of the holder, is not possible unless it is connected to an electronic hands-free system.

Problem:

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem that in order to make a phone call - after entering the telephone number or when a call is made - the mobile phone must be taken out of the holder and held to the ear/mouth with one hand .

This type of phone use in the car is prohibited in most European countries due to the increased risk of accidents (one-handed driving). A similar ban is also being prepared in Germany. Regardless of the legal situation, it is important that the use of the mobile phone does not interfere with driving the vehicle - steering and gear shifting in a car, steering and braking in a bicycle.

Invention:

The problem is solved with the measures of claim 1.

Advantageous effects of the invention:

Because the mobile phone holder can be removed from a fixed vehicle holder and is fitted with a headband, you can use the phone hands-free after putting the headband on. The manipulations that a car driver constantly has to perform while driving (steering, changing gear, signaling, flashing the headlights, windshield wipers, lights on/off, folding down the sun visor, etc.) can be carried out with both hands, regardless of the phone call.

Because the mobile phone with the invention is held directly to the ear or the speech organ in the intended manner, the optimal hearing and speech quality is maintained; loss of quality due to external microphones or external headphones and additional cabling is avoided.

Mobile electronic hands-free devices are available for most mobile phones.
However, disadvantages of the electronic hands-free system are:

a.) Noise or malfunction of the electrical connection in the cable, plug or transition at the connections with failure or distortion of the sound transmission;

b.) lack of compatibility when using another mobile phone;
c.) high acquisition costs.

Further embodiments of the invention are presented in claims 2) and 3).

The development of the invention according to claim 2) leads to a reduction in the space requirement by reducing the size of the mobile phone holder, as the U-shaped headband can be folded in the longitudinal axis.

The development of the invention according to claim 3) also enables a reduction in the space required by the mobile phone holder in the external holder, whereby when used for making phone calls, the angle of the mobile phone to the headband can be individually and optimally adjusted (locked) by the user.

Example

To make a call (to answer a call or to make a call), the user opens the headband, puts it on and locks the cell phone holder onto the headband - if this has not already been done by turning it to an optimal speaking angle. After the call has ended, the headband is removed, the end button on the cell phone - usually in the center - is pressed and the cell phone holder is inserted into the external holder. The hinges can already be opened and locked into place in the external holder so that the phone is ready for use.

The mobile cell phone holder with headband can be used not only in motor vehicles, but of course also outdoors (e.g. adjusting a satellite reception system on a roof), on boats, bicycles and construction machinery (e.g. giving instructions to a crane operator by telephone) without interference-prone and annoying electronic cables getting in the way.
