A slot was machined into a body with a shaft, which runs from the side wall across a shaft into the cover, over the shaft and ending in the cover after a distance of 1 % of the shaft diameter. The shaft is moved by a crank that can be fixed in several positions.

A tool combines several functions so that a medium (tape, rope, ...) can be rolled into a body as often as desired and removed again at a later time without the medium being attached to the body or the shaft.

Further embodiment of the invention: Several carriers can be inserted through a groove in the shaft into which the medium is rolled.

The lid could also be designed as a carrier for the medium and several media could be rolled and stored by exchanging them.

The function of the reel is demonstrated using a practical example with a product that is currently on the market: a tensioning belt.

Grab the unrolled strap at its end and insert it into the shaft and the body over the center. Loosen the crank that is fixed in the base in the starting position. Through a guide slot in the shaft and opening options in the cover, several carriers can be held in a groove in the shaft and removed after use.
