Es sind viele Maßnahmen unternommen worden, um das eine oder das andere Gerät baulich so an dem jeweiligen Ort anzuordnen, daß das jeweils weitere Gerät als einziges freistehendes Gerät nur einen geringen Platz benötigt. So sind häufig in Hotelnachttischen Radioempfänger, Wecker und dergleichen integriert, während der Telefonapparat auf dem Nachttisch steht.
