1) Es handelt sich bei dem Gerät um eine Positionierungshilfe für die Anbringung von Schleifblättern mit Kletthaftung auf dem Schleifteller eines Exzenterschleifers.1) The device is a positioning aid for attaching sanding sheets with Velcro fastening to the sanding pad of an orbital sander.

Sie besteht aus acht radialsymmetrisch angeordneten Löchern von 10 mm Durchmesser. Eine identische Lochung weist auch der jeweilige Schleifteller des Exzenterschleifers auf. Bei den Geräten nach c) ist die Lochung abweichend. Die Schleifblätter haben sechs Löcher in einem inneren und acht Löcher in einem äußeren Ring angeordnet, wobei die Abstände andere sind als bei den Geräten nach a) und b). Der Standardschleifteller hat keine durchgehenden Rundlöcher, sondern führt die angesaugte Luft durch die Schleifblattlöcher des inneren Ringes in einem offenen Kanal 1,5 cm in Richtung Achse, wo sie dann durch ein Rundloch austritt. Abbildung 3 zeigt einen Schnitt durch Schleifteller (e), Schleifblatt (c) und Schleifblattübertrager (a, b, d), wobei die hier nicht relevante Schleifblattlochung des äußeren Ringes weggelassen wurde.The sanding sheets are each attached to the sanding pad using Velcro. In der kurzschenkligen Version sind die Zapfen nur so lang, daß sie sich vollständig in die Bohrungen des Schleiftellers einführen lassen. Die Zapfenenden sollten leicht konisch sein, um ein Verkanten zu vermeiden. Ihr Durchmesser ist so, daß sie sich leicht durch die Schleifblattlöcher bewegen lassen, aber die Lage des Schleifblattes noch gut fixieren. Die Grundplatte kann im einfachsten Fall auf einen Steg zwischen zwei Zapfen reduziert sein (z.B. Abb. 2 und 3), im aufwendigeren Fall eine Auflagefläche für das ganze Schleifblatt bieten und auch mehr als zwei Zapfen tragen (z.B. Abb. 1).
