Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine multifunktionale Steckdose, die einerseits in einem Steckernäpfchen Steckeraufnahmen für Außenleiter und bei Systemen mit Neutralleiter eine Stekkerstiftaufnähme auch für Neutralleiter aufweist und die andererseits Verbindungsmittel für zumindest einen Kommunikationsleiter hat. Die Lösung der geschilderten Aufgabe erfolgt nach der Erfindung durch eine multifunktionale Steckdose nach Anspruch 1. Hierbei ist das Steckernäpfchen mit zumindest einer Befestigungsschraube in einem Steckdosensockel befestigt, die eine Bohrung aufweist, die zu einem Kommunikationsleiter führt, der in die Kommunikationsleitung eingebunden ist. Hierbei führt also der Hohlraum der Befestigungsschraube zu einem weiter unten angeordneten Kommunikationsleiter. Beim Wechsel von der normalen Ausführung zur Kommunikationsausführung sind hierbei keine wesentlichen Teile auszuwechseln, es genügt, eine Schraube zum Befestigen des Steckernäpfchens gegen eine solche Schraube auszuwechseln, die einen Hohlraum aufweist, der zu einem Kommunikationsleiter führt. Dieser Kommunikationsleiter kann insbesondere ein Lichtwellenleiter sein, der am Ende der Schraube oder unabhängig von der Schraube befestigt ist.
