Seating furniture according to claims 1 and 2, wherein in the normal position of the seating furniture a wedge-shaped insert cushion ( 11 ) is removably inserted between the first and second seat surfaces ( 1 , 2 ) and after removal of the insert cushion the first seat surface ( 1 ) can be pivoted about the axis ( 4 ) into a relaxed position in which the edges ( 9 , 10 ) of the first and second seat surfaces ( 1 , 2 ) lie against one another.

4. Seating furniture according to claims 2 and 3, wherein the pivot axis ( 4 ) is located approximately at the transition point between the backrest ( 5 , 6 ) and the seat ( 1 , 2 ).

Seating furniture according to claim 1, wherein the first seat surface ( 1 ) adjacent to the armrest ( 7 ) is divided and the part ( 18 ) of the seat surface ( 1 ) connected to the armrest ( 7 ) can be pivoted about the pivot axis ( 4 ) relative to a part ( 17 ) of the first seat surface ( 1 ) connected to the second seat surface ( 2 ) from the normal position into an advanced relaxation position.

Seating furniture according to claim 5, wherein the dividing line ( 16 ) dividing the seat surface ( 1 ) is curved such that the stationary part ( 17 ) of the seat surface ( 1 ) has a convex edge section and the movable part ( 18 ) of the seat surface ( 1 ) has a complementarily designed concave edge section.

7. Seating furniture according to claims 5 and 6, wherein the section ( 6 ) of the backrest is hinged to the pivot axis ( 4 ) and forms a support arm, at the outer end of which the movable part ( 18 ) with the armrest ( 7 ) is attached at a distance from the pivot axis ( 4 ).

8. Seating furniture according to the preceding claims, wherein the section ( 6 ) of the backrest which is connected to the movable seat surface ( 1 ) or the movable part ( 18 ) of the seat surface ( 1 ) is slightly curved in the manner of an individual seat.

9. Seating furniture according to the preceding claims, wherein a cavity is formed on the pivotable part for receiving a portion ( 13 ; 20 ) of the non-pivotable part of the seating furniture.
