Lead / leash for dogs and other animals Description

Leads/leashes for dogs and other animals generally transfer force to the animal's neck for guidance. This is done either by putting on a collar and attaching a leash to this collar or by the lead being applied directly to the animal's neck.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating an optimal guide/leash for humans and animals, which causes neither humans nor animals pain when used and which allows the animal to be guided in a gentle manner. Injuries to the animal's neck or strangulation of the animal are easy consequences with conventional guides/leashes.

These problems are solved by protective features specified in the protection claims, which transfer the force from the human to the animal's chest and enable easy handling.

With the help of the lead, the animal can be trained to walk calmly on a leash without experiencing pain. The animal learns in a gentle way not to pull. It is important to mention the learning effect here, because calm walking on a normal lead/leash is possible relatively quickly even after the lead is removed. The chest strap (7), which, like the strap behind the front legs (8), loosens itself during the relaxation phase, holds the dog in front of the chest and does not pull on the neck like a collar. This means that damage to the larynx can no longer occur. The use of wide and soft materials prevents the skin from being cut. The animal can be protected from the harder ends of the leash using a plastic sheath.

The lead combines a collar and a leash in one piece. This creates a kind of rein effect for the person leading the animal, which makes holding the animal more comfortable. The animal owner can control and lead his animal better thanks to the two-sided influence.

It is still possible to attach a collar, for example for the purpose of identifying the animal, without affecting the effectiveness of the lead/leash.

Even under heavy strain, the guide does not have a drastic effect, but only a slowing effect. This slowing down brings the dog back into balance, so that the animal can always regroup and has the opportunity to decide for itself how it wants to move.

The lead can be put on and taken off easily using snap hooks (5) and the quickly adjustable leash stoppers (2.1, 2.2). This makes it easy to handle. The leash stoppers (2.1, 2.2) allow the lead/leash to be immediately and continuously adjusted to the animal in all relevant dimensions. The same lead can therefore be put on a cat and also on a dog, e.g. a Great Dane.

Due to the easy handling, the specific mode of operation and the rein effect, the leading aid is very quickly accepted by the leaders and the animals also have no acceptance problems when they put it on for the first time.

When implemented appropriately, the variety of colors, weather resistance and washability contribute to acceptance by the leaders. The weather resistance when using plastic ropes, for example, to make the lead/leash and the washability that this achieves are a great advantage compared to conventional leather harnesses, leather leashes and leather collars. In addition, there is high resistance and a certain indestructibility. Especially with very wild, large and heavy dogs, the lead is a way of getting the dog to stand still so that it can be asked to walk calmly again and again without causing pain.

A preferred embodiment of a guiding aid according to the invention is described below with reference to the drawings.

The guide consists of a rope (1) which is movably connected by two rope swivels (3.1, 3.2) or similar rope guide means. The first end of the rope is led through the A part of the first rope swivel (3.1) and fastened to the A' part of the second rope swivel (3.2). The second end of the rope is led through the B' part of the rope swivel (3.2) and fastened to the B part of the other rope swivel (3.1). A connecting bar (4) is attached to one of the rope swivels (3.1) for securing it to the animal's back. A carabiner (5) or similar connecting means is attached to the end of the connecting bar (4). The guide is held on the animal's back with the help of the carabiner (5), which is attached to the A' part of the second rope swivel (3.2) after it has been put on.

The rope opening (6) between the rope swivels (3.1, 3.2) is adjusted to a certain size by moving the swivels. Now the front legs of the animal are put through the rope opening (6), for example by lifting the animal. The rope swivels (3.1, 3.2) are moved until the carabiner (5) above the back can be hooked into the A' part of the rope swivel (3.2). In Fig. 3, the guide aid has been applied by attaching the rope loop (7) loosely passed through the A part of the rope swivel (3.1) in front of the animal's chest.

The rope loop (8), which is attached to the B part of the rope swivel (3.1), is placed behind the front legs. This means that the chest strap can move freely on this side.

The rope loop (7), which is attached to the A' part of the rope swivel (3.2), is guided along the front of the chest. This means that the band can move freely behind the front legs on this side.

The advantage of the easy handling is that the rope loop (7), which in Fig. 3 was guided along the front of the chest, can just as easily be guided behind the front legs without affecting the usefulness, and that the rope loop (8), which in Fig. 4 was guided behind the front legs, can also be guided along the front of the chest. In this sense, it is possible to swap them around without affecting the usefulness. It is also entirely possible to hook the snap hook (5) of the connecting bar (4) into the B' part rather than into the A' part of the rope swivel (3.2), which could perhaps result in a minimal restriction in usefulness, but this would not be relevant.

The lead aid is flexible in its handling thanks to different rope lengths (1). A longer rope can be used to obtain longer reins, or an extremely short rope can be used to ensure that the reins can be placed on the animal's back without affecting the animal's free movement.

The guide aid consists of a continuous rope (1), the ends of which are freely movable and connected to one another by two rope swivels (3.1, 3.2). In modifications to the invention, the rope swivels can be replaced by other rope guides (3.1, 3.2), provided that they meet the requirement that the rope ends are freely movable and connected so that a rope opening (6) is created, as in Fig. 1.

There are rope stoppers on the rope, which serve the purpose of preventing the rope from sinking to the ground during use. These rope stoppers can be made of any material, as long as they fulfill the prescribed purpose. The connecting bar (4) between the rope guides must serve the purpose of connecting the two rope guides (3.1, 3.2) to one another, so that the entire guide cannot sink to the ground during use and is fixed to the animal's body. The connecting bar can also be made of any material, as long as they fulfill the prescribed purpose.

The carabiner (5) attached to the connecting bar (4) can also be replaced by a connecting device which ensures a simple and quick connection between the two rope guides.
