Kit for a mattress

Typically, a foam core is covered on all sides with an under-stocking (a type of sock) and then surrounded on all sides by a cover. This mattress is transported from one place to another, usually from the shop where the mattress was purchased to the home where it is to be used, in a stretched-out and flat position, i.e. with the dimensions of the mattress being typically 15 cm high, 100 cm wide and 200 cm long.

A maximum of 10 mattresses of this type can be stacked and transported on a pallet. These mattresses are therefore bulky and take up a lot of space.

Transporting such a mattress in a car is very difficult because the mattress takes up a space of 15 cm x 100 cm x 10 cm.

The invention is based on the object of minimizing the space occupied by a mattress or by several mattresses.

To solve this problem, a mattress kit is provided, whereby

a) a foam core covered on all sides with an under-jersey is provided for the mattress,

b) a cover is provided that surrounds the mattress on all sides,

c) the mattress with the undershirt without cover rolled lengthwise of the mattress,

d) the cover is stored in a separate pocket and

(e) an elongated carton open on both sides and closed in the rest of the way, a mobile lower part and an upper part are provided.

In this way, you get a mattress that takes up considerably less volume when rolled up than when rolled out, i.e. in its usual and flat state.

In a further embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the foam core consists of latex, that the cardboard represents a square cylinder open at the top and bottom,

that the lower part is a box without a lid adapted to the carton with an axle running in an inner edge of the carton parallel to the inner edge with two wheels at both ends of the axle outside the carton, that a box without a bottom adapted to the carton is provided for placing on top of the carton or that the volume of the carton is selected so that the rolled mattress with undershirt without cover and the bag with the cover can be accommodated in it.

The invention allows a mattress to be initially formed into the shape of a round cylinder and then placed in a box provided with a base and a lid. In this state, the mattress can easily be transported in a car from the shop where the mattress was purchased to the home where it is to be used. In the home, the base and lid are removed from the box, the rolled-up mattress is pulled out of the box and rolled out on the floor, and then the cover is put on.

Figure 1 shows a rolled up mattress 11, a bag 12 with a cover 13 inside, as well as a box 14, a base 15 and a lid 16.

As can be seen from Figure 2, the base 15 consists of a box which is open at the top and in which an axle 17 with wheels arranged on both sides of the axle 17 is arranged.

Figure 3 shows the state in which the rolled up mattress 11 is placed in the floor 15.

Figure 4 shows the point in time at which the elongated cardboard box 14 is placed over the rolled mattress 11 standing in the floor 15.

Figure 5 shows the box 15 closed by the lid 16, which can be moved on the wheels 18 of the base 15.

Figure 6 shows how the rolled mattress 11 is pulled out of the box 14.

Figure 7 shows the mattress 11 pulled out of the box shortly before it is rolled out, while Figure 8 shows the mattress 11 at the beginning of its rolling out. Figure 9 shows the mattress 11 rolled out approximately halfway, while Figure 10 shows the rolled out mattress 11 and next to it the rolled out cover 13.

Claims (6)

1. Kit for a mattress, where a) a foam core covered on all sides with an under-jersey is provided for the mattress, b) a cover is provided that surrounds the mattress on all sides, c) the mattress with the undershirt without cover rolled lengthwise of the mattress, d) the cover is stored in a separate pocket and (e) an elongated carton open on both sides and closed in the rest of the way, a mobile lower part and an upper part are provided. 2. Mattress according to claim 1, characterized in that the foam core consists of latex. 3. Mattress according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cardboard box is a square cylinder open at the top and bottom. 4. Mattress according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lower part is a box adapted to the carton without a lid with an axle running in an inner edge of the carton parallel to the inner edge with two wheels at both ends of the axle provided outside the carton. 5. Mattress according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a box adapted to the carton without a bottom is provided for placing on the carton. 6. Mattress according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the volume of the box is selected so that the rolled mattress with undershirt without cover and the bag with the cover can be accommodated therein.
