Finger glove

In order to be able to move faster when swimming in the water, diving fins for the feet are known. Diving fins have the task of displacing as much water as possible when moving forward. Optimal water displacement with the hands has so far been achieved by placing all five fingers of one hand as close together as possible during the swimming movements. The water displacement is therefore limited by the size of the palms.

The invention aims to propose a finger glove that increases the water displacement of the hands when swimming.

The invention solves the problem by means of a finger glove, in which inserts are stretched in the spaces between the fingers as webbed skin. The inserts designed as webbed skin increase the palm of the hand that displaces the water when the fingers are spread, which increases the swimmer's propulsion with each stroke.

With each stroke of the hands, the inserts in the front area are subjected to the greatest stress. For this reason, the inserts in the front area can have a material reinforcement to prevent the inserts from tearing during swimming.

To ensure that the swimmer can move his fingers completely unhindered even when wearing gloves, the inserts can be relatively thin.

For reasons of mobility and ease of manufacture, the inserts can be made of natural latex or plastic.

The gloves can have recesses for the pinger tips, so that the swimmer can still use the full sense of touch on his fingertips even when the gloves are on.

Since the wrists of people with the same hand size can vary in thickness, the cuffs of the glove can be conveniently adjustable in width.

An embodiment of a finger glove according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing.

The only figure shows a finger glove 10 which has inserts 16, 17, 18 and 19 acting as webbed fingers between the fingers 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. The inserts 16, 17, 18 and 19 allow the palm of the hand to be enlarged by spreading the fingers, whereby more water can be displaced with each stroke than without a glove 10 according to the invention. To ensure that fingers 11 to 15 can function without hindrance even when the glove is on, inserts 16 to 19 can be relatively thin. The glove 10 has recesses for the fingertips in the front area of fingers 11 to 15 so that the sense of touch of the fingertips is fully preserved when handling. A reinforced cuff 29 can be continuously adjusted in width using an elastic band 30 on the wrist. The elastic band 30 can be fixed using a Velcro fastener (not shown here).
