Der Kern dieses High-Tech-Schuhs ist eine Elektro-Luft-Pumpe 1, die unauffällig in dem Schuh eingebaut ist. Sie wird von einer Steuereinheit gesteuert, welche, dank eines IR-Empfängers 3, auch fernbedienbar ist. Das Verschluss-System (bzw. Schnall-System bei Inlineskates) besteht aus einem (oder mehreren) flachen Schlauch 4, der ähnlich wie eine Zieh-Harmonika (Fig. 1) aussieht und in den Schuh (rund-her-um oder nur stellenweisse) eingebaut ist.
