The invention relates to an office unit for vehicles according to the preamble of claim 1.

In times of increasing mobility, it is particularly important for business people to have a workplace that meets the highest standards, even when on vacation or traveling. Many vehicles are already equipped with mobile phones, but a proper workplace with a writing desk, computer, fax machine, etc. is only available in exceptional cases. There are mobile computers, so-called laptops or notebooks, but these are not easy to handle while driving, as they either have to be placed on the lap or there has to be a special storage area in the vehicle to store these mobile computers.

It is also known to install complete office facilities in vehicles, with shelves, office furniture, desks, etc. However, these solutions are expensive and take up a lot of space in the corresponding vehicles.

DE 295 01 614.0 describes a motor vehicle with a device for storing devices, whereby the dashboard has a lockable flap on the inside of which the devices are attached. The devices are folded down together with the flap and can be operated in this way. Working as usual as at an office desk is not possible here.

The invention is therefore based on the object of proposing an office unit for vehicles which is integrated into the vehicle in the most space-saving and functional way possible and enables familiar working almost like at an office desk.

This object is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

The invention is characterized in that the cover flap can be opened upwards about a horizontal axis and a writing tray is arranged under the cover flap.

This has the advantage that the office unit is integrated into the vehicle in a space-saving and functional way and can be used by the passenger, for example, while driving.

Preferably, the office unit contains all necessary office and communication equipment, such as a computer with flat screen and keyboard, loudspeakers, telephone, writing desk, fax machine, etc.

In a preferred embodiment, the cover flap is adapted to the contour of the dashboard and can be closed while driving, so that the office equipment remains protected and covered in the dashboard.

If the office unit is to be used, the flap can simply be opened upwards on a horizontal axis, revealing the writing tray underneath the cover flap.

The flat screen of the computer is preferably arranged in the cover flap, which immediately goes into its working position when the cover flap is opened.

Figures 1 and 2 schematically show a perspective view of the dashboard 1 of a vehicle.

The office unit 2 is arranged on the passenger side, with the passenger seat 3 also serving as an office chair.

The office unit 2 is covered by a cover flap 5 which is adapted to the contour of the dashboard, so that a harmonious overall impression is created. The cover flap 5 comprises a handle opening 6, by means of which the cover flap 5 can be pivoted upwards about a horizontal axis 7, as shown in Figure 2.

In the open position of the cover flap 5 according to Figure 2, it can be seen that an approximately horizontally arranged writing tray 9 is arranged below the cover flap.

A flat screen 8 including control electronics is integrated into the cover flap 5.

A pull-out compartment 10 is arranged on the writing surface 9, which can be pulled out and retracted like a drawer. The keyboard 11 of the computer integrated in the dashboard is arranged on this pull-out compartment 10, so that the keyboard can be operated without fatigue and ergonomically. At the same time, the writing surface remains free for filing letters, text templates, etc. -

As can be seen in Figure 3, the office unit 2 is integrated into the dashboard 1 and comprises a body 4 in which, for example, the electronics of the computer are arranged.

Of course, the body 4 can also be omitted and the dashboard itself can be used to accommodate the electronic components. V

The outer shape of the cover flap 5 is adapted to the shape of the dashboard 1, with the flat screen 8 of the computer being integrated on the inside of the cover flap: By opening the cover flap 5 about the axis 7, the flat screen 8 becomes visible and comes into working position.

By opening the cover flap 5, the writing tray 9 is also exposed, beneath which a pull-out compartment 10 is arranged, which carries the computer keyboard 11 and can be pulled out beyond the writing tray 9 if required. A telephone can be arranged on the writing tray 9 or integrated into the body 4.

If the office unit is not in use, the pull-out compartment 10 is pushed in completely and the cover flap 5 is closed so that the papers and equipment in the office unit are kept tidy and protected. Of course, the cover flap 5 can also be secured with a lock to prevent unauthorized opening.

Claims (5)

Office unit ( 2 ) for vehicles, which has various office equipment and is integrated in a cavity of the dashboard ( 1 ) of the vehicle, wherein the cavity is closed off by a cover flap ( 5 ), characterized in that the cover flap ( 5 ) can be folded upwards about a horizontal axis ( 7 ), and a writing tray ( 9 ) is arranged under the cover flap ( 5 ). 2.
