The previously known versions of calendars in playing card format only covered 12 months.

The school holiday dates of the respective federal state, e.g. Baden-Württemberg, were printed horizontally, continuously. The public holidays were also printed horizontally, continuously.

The task was to produce a calendar especially for students that begins at the beginning of the school year in September of the previous year and is valid for 16 months.

The school holiday dates are in color, prominently highlighted, so clear and easily recognizable at first glance. (see item 2)

The holidays are arranged in a vertical table format and are therefore easier to read. (see drawing Pos.3)

Until now, the combination of a 16-month calendar on the front and a photo on the back, which is provided with an address sticker, all shrink-wrapped, was unknown

Novelty:

On the back of the shrink-wrapped calendar in playing card format 67 x 99 mm, is either:

1. A photo (portrait photo, product photo, etc.)

a) with address label, shrink-wrapped,

b) without address label, shrink-wrapped,

2. A business card shrink-wrapped,

3. A timetable for students, which is characterized by the following advantages:

a) Location

b) Name of the school

c) Valid from

d) Class

e) Start and end of lessons

f) Daily information-Monday-Tuesday -etc.

g) Different colours for different subjects e.g. mathematics = red field, physics = blue field,

The new invention of the different colored subjects creates a very clear student timetable at first glance.

4. Note area for names and telephone numbers, not sealed,

a) with address label,

b) without address label

Application

The calendar combination with photo is mainly sold by photo shops and photo development laboratories and by independent traders.

The calendar combination with timetable is mainly sold to schools.

The calendar combination, with space for writing names and telephone numbers, is also sold as a promotional item.

The calendars come with double-sided, self-adhesive dots, which allow you to stick them anywhere without using glue. Portrait photos in playing card format (67 x 99 mm) can even stick to rounded surfaces, such as a car dashboard.

The smooth, waterproof and plastic-wrapped calendar combination is usually carried in a wallet and is extremely durable. It provides much more useful information than a business card because - new - the image (photo) is combined with other information, such as the 16-month calendar with school holiday information, the address with telephone number or the timetable for students.

This is the main advantage over conventional annual calendars.
