Sound-absorbing floor for land and rail vehicles

The innovation relates to a floor according to the generic term of claim 1. The group of vibration absorption elements used according to its wording is currently formed on the smooth-surfaced plate underneath by manually gluing strips made of highly flexible plastic, spaced apart from one another, lengthways and crossways, onto the latter, as well as mineral wool segments to be provided between the intersecting strips. This type of assembly is time-consuming and costly and is associated with inaccuracies.

The aim of the innovation is to make the installation of the floor easier and faster. The solution to the problem is according to the characterizing part of claim 1 that the vibration absorption element group is designed as a one-piece, prefabricated component whose dimensions correspond to the vehicle floor area to be covered. Separated portions can also be used if necessary.

Of particular advantage is the proposal according to claim 2 to handle the group of elements as a wound-up or rolled-up component like a carpet.

The new feature is explained using the drawing as an example. It shows:

(1) designates the support profile frame of a rail vehicle, e.g. in the form of a passenger train carriage, supplemented by a metal trapezoidal floor (2). On this lies a lower plate (3) with a smooth surface, preferably made of plywood. On the plate (3) is arranged a group of vibration absorption elements (4), consisting of longitudinal and transverse strips (4') made of highly flexible plastic, such as polyurethane, and mineral wool segments (4") provided between the crossed strips (4 ¹ ) arranged at a distance from one another.

According to the innovation, the previously described element group (4) is designed as a prefabricated, one-piece component that can be separated into portions if necessary. An upper cover plate (5), preferably also made of plywood, lies on the element group (4). As can be seen in Figure 3, the element group (4) can be handled in a roll (6) like a carpet roll in preparation for assembly. The unity of the element group (4) can be strengthened by covering the top and bottom with foil.

Protection claims 1. Sound-absorbing floor for land and rail vehicles for passenger transport, consisting of a lower plate with a smooth surface placed on the vehicle profile frame, a group of vibration absorption elements arranged on this plate and an upper cover plate characterized in that the group of vibration absorption elements (4) consisting in a known manner of strips (4') arranged longitudinally and transversely at a distance from one another made of highly flexible plastic, such as polyurethane, and mineral wool segments (4") arranged between the strips (4') is designed as a one-piece, prefabricated component that can be separated into portions if necessary and whose dimensions correspond to the floor area of the vehicle to be covered. 2. Floor according to claim 1, characterized in that the element group (4) can be handled as a rolled component (6) in the manner of a carpet roll in preparation for assembly. 3. Floor according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the element group (4) is bound in a protective film on the top and bottom.
