Die Querstange (3) befindet sich in der Arbeitsstellung vorteilhafterweise unterhalb des Verbindungsstücks (5) zwischen Schlägerkopf (6) und Schlägerschaft (1). Dies ermöglicht eine optimale Kraftübertragung auf die wegzudrückenden Grashalme und verhindert ein Lösen der Verbindung (4) während des Such Vorgangs. Aus Gründen der Stabilität und des Gewichts empfiehlt sich ein Rohr mit einer Länge von ca. 60 bis 100 cm aus Aluminium oder Stahl als Querstange (3). Aufgrund ihrer Proportionen eignen sich vor allem mittlere und längere Eisen, z.B. das Eisen 3, als Teil des Suchgeräts. Beim Suchvorgang wird die Querstange (3) von oben her möglichst parallel zum Boden hin zwischen die Grashalme eingeführt und dann leicht zum Körper hin gezogen. Es entsteht dabei eine in etwa keilförmige Graslücke mit einer Breite von ca. 10 bis 20 cm längs der Querstange (3), je nach Beschaffenheit des Grases. Dieser Bereich ist somit für das Auge leicht einsehbar und ermöglicht das Auffinden des verlorengegangenen Golfballes. Während sich bei hohem und widerstandsfähigem Gras der beschriebene Suchvorgang unter gleichzeitigem oder auch sukzessivem Vorwärtsgehen empfiehlt, ist bei kurzem Gras, z.B. bei Klee, ein gleichmäßiges Ziehen der Querstange (3) über die Grashalme unter gleichzeitigem Rückwärtsgehen vorteilhaft.Figure 1 shows such a device, which resembles a rake without teeth, consisting of a golf club and a crossbar (3). Mit der Erfindung wird erreicht, daß in relativ kurzer Zeit ein beachtliches Gebiet mit Gräsern nach einem verlorengegangenen Golfball wirkungsvoll abgesucht werden kann. Die ansonsten meist in der zur Verfügung stehenden Zeit nicht aufgefundenen Bälle können damit mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit gefunden werden. Dies erspart nicht nur die Kosten für den jeweiligen Golfball, sondern vermeidet auch mögliche Strafpunkte bei einer eventuellen Wertung des Spiels. Durch das schnellere Auffinden von Ballen reduziert sich auch das Warten der nachfolgenden Flights. Dies führt zu einem zügigeren Spiel und somit zu einer besseren Auslastung eines Golfplatzes. Durch das Absuchen der Grasfläche auf einer Breite von der Länge der Querstange (3) von ca. 60 bis 100 cm wird außerdem das Zertreten des Grases und anderer Gewächse auf ein Minimum reduziert und damit die Natur geschont.The invention means that a considerable area of grass can be searched effectively for a lost golf ball in a relatively short time.
