Glasses

The invention is directed to a pair of glasses, for example sports glasses or sunglasses, with a frame for receiving two lenses or spectacle lenses, the frame having a nose bridge part and nose pads, each nose pad having at least one soft plastic part and a bearing part for connection to the nose bridge part.

It was recognized relatively early on that a user-friendly design of the contact area of the glasses on the bridge of the nose makes a significant contribution to the comfort of wearing glasses. Accordingly, it is known to make the contact area on the glasses frame wider in order to reduce the contact pressure. It is also known to attach special contact pads made of soft plastic or plastic bubbles to this area on the glasses frame.

There are also solutions in which nose pads are arranged on wire-like bearing parts on both sides of the nose, which can be pivoted relative to the frame so that the nose pads can optimally adapt to the user's nose geometry.

Based on such a construction, the invention is based on the task of further improving the wearing comfort of glasses and at the same time realizing a particularly attractive design.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that each bearing part is essentially U-shaped, with a nose pad being arranged at the free end of each U-leg, and with a bearing pin being formed in the area of the U-bottom for pivotable mounting on the frame or on the nose bridge part of the frame.

The design according to the invention combines the advantage of a comparatively large contact surface and the associated pressure reduction with that of optimal adaptation to the shape of the nose.

In a further embodiment, the bearing attachment can be pivoted into a bearing recess in the frame. This also makes it easy to install and, if necessary, replace the nose pads.

The invention is explained in more detail below using a preferred embodiment in conjunction with the drawing. This shows a view of a nose bridge part designed according to the invention.

The drawing shows the nose bridge area of a pair of glasses, which has a frame 1 with recesses 2 for lenses. A part of the frame 1, which bridges the area of the root of the nose, is designed as a nose bridge part 3 and has a recess 4 for the bridge of the nose, which is delimited on both sides by projections 5 of the nose bridge part 3. In the free ends of the projections 5, bearing recesses 6 are arranged for the pivot bearing pin 7 of a nose pad arrangement, which is U-shaped, with the pivot bearing pin 7 in the

U-shaped base and a nose pad 10, 11 is arranged at the free ends of each U-leg 8, 9.

Accordingly, the nose pads 10, 11 can be pivoted around the pivot pin 7 and can adjust optimally and due to the double configuration a particularly large contact surface is achieved.

Protection claims 1. Spectacles with a frame for receiving two viewing panels or lenses, the frame having a nose bridge part and nose pads, each nose pad having at least one soft plastic part and a bearing part for connection to the nose bridge part, characterized in that each bearing part is essentially U-shaped, a nose pad (10, 11) being arranged at the free end of each U-leg (8, 9), and a pivot bearing pin (7) being formed in the region of the U-bottom for pivotable mounting on the frame (1) or on the nose bridge part (3) of the frame. 2. Spectacles according to claim 1, characterized in that the bearing projection is pivotally engaged in a bearing recess (6) of the frame (1).
