On short trips, especially by plane, people don't like to take a lot of luggage with them. Travelers who are often away for one or two days prefer to avoid the time-consuming and inconvenient baggage claim at airports. For this reason, the popular pilot's case was developed, which you can take on board. But what if you need a second suit, shirt, shoes and underwear, for example for a reception or the theater?

This patent claim describes a suitcase, preferably in the format of a pilot's case, which makes it possible to store a complete suit without creases, as well as the necessary shirts, underwear and shoes for a change. In addition, it is possible to store an umbrella, laptop, camera or files without opening the entire suitcase.

This is solved in an inventive way by mounting an oval tube on the narrow bottom side of the case, which runs lengthways along the case, with the wall of the tube being at an equal distance from the four parallel sides of the case. The tube is attached to the two opposite ends and is suspended freely in the middle. It is attached in such a way that the openings of the tube are accessible and can be covered by the ends of the case when opened up.

The two large, opposite sides of the case, like the front sides, are only attached to the floor and can be fully opened. If all four sides are folded down, the tube stands freely in the space on the floor of the case. Now you can first put a pair of trousers and then the jacket on top of them, like on the back of a chair. As the trousers are longer than both sides of the tube combined, you push them through the tube with the legs first and pull them up so that the legs hang over the insertion side. The rest of the trousers that have not yet been pulled through are placed upwards and forwards. You wrap the trousers around the tube. If the tube is covered with non-slip material, the trousers are held firmly in place.

The jacket is placed on the trousers with the back facing down and secured at the bottom with 2 or more clips on each side to prevent it from slipping. The space between the case walls and the tube prevents the clothing from being crushed. The inside of the tube can be divided by one or more intermediate floors and is open when the front wall is folded down.

If you divide the upper oval of the tube with a base, this compartment can be made accessible from the outside through a lockable opening in the front wall without having to open the entire case. This compartment is recommended for holding an umbrella or rainwear, but also for cameras. Of course, other or additional compartments can also be made accessible from the outside. The lower oval offers separate space for a pair of shoes. The resulting middle compartment of the oval is ideal for laundry. The two large sides of the case are provided with large folding pockets on the inside, one of which then offers space for wrinkle-free storage of 1 or 2 shirts. The other side is equipped in such a way that the inner folding pocket can also be accessed directly from the outside using a zipper. The zipper is U-shaped in order to enlarge the opening without having to create additional folds on the outside. In this way, you can pack a laptop or a video camera in addition to files or reading material without opening the case.

Additional, commonly used outside pockets can further increase the practical use of the suitcase.
