The invention relates to a livestock transporter that is designed with one axle or multiple axles, has a coupling for attaching to a motor vehicle, has a stable frame and is primarily intended for the transport of horses.

DE-OS 28 03 769 (B 60 P 3/04) already describes a cattle transport trailer that is provided with two openings that can be closed with folding doors, one of which is located in the rear wall and serves as an entrance, while the other is located in the front part of a side wall and serves as an exit. In the area of the exit opening, a reinforcement profile is arranged that extends over the entire height of the wall and protrudes upwards over the vehicle wall. On the other side wall, another reinforcement profile is provided that also protrudes upwards. The upper ends of both profiles are connected to one another by a cross member.

The rear wall is formed by a ramp that serves as an entrance. The side wall has the entrance opening in the front part. The animal is led into the transport trailer from behind and placed with its head facing forward. The disadvantage of this is that the risk of injury to the head during the journey, e.g. when braking sharply, is particularly high. The stress that the animal is already under when being loaded, which is caused by the animal having the impression that it is being led into a closed space, cannot be reduced with this solution. The animal cannot perceive the familiar surroundings and therefore becomes restless. This situation is particularly detrimental to horses.

EP 0 220 627 (B 60 P 3/04) shows a horse transport wagon that has a tub-like substructure mounted on a chassis. In order to allow the horses a certain degree of clear view diagonally forward when getting in, a lifting device is provided between the substructure and the roof to raise the roof relative to the substructure.

Even when the roof is raised, the horse only has a limited view to the front. In addition, with this solution, stable fastening of the moving parts is not or not always guaranteed.

The object of the invention is to enable the loading and transport of large livestock, in particular horses, in a species-appropriate, stress-free manner and with a low risk of injury, whereby the positioning of the animals in the transport vehicle should already create favorable conditions for this.

The solution is achieved with the features mentioned in the main claim.

A significant advantage of the invention is that the animal can enter the livestock transporter through a front entrance and can be placed in the parking space with its head facing the direction of travel.

A virtually stress-free situation is created for the animal when loading. Because there is a flap at the rear of the cattle transporter that can be opened, the animal does not have the feeling of being led into a closed space. This has a particularly calming effect on horses, as the horse's view is not blocked. Another advantage is that the horse can comfortably enter the cattle transporter and exit again via a large exit, whereby the animal can make a natural forward movement when getting in and out.

Another advantage is that the risk of injury is low, as the animal cannot hit its head against the front wall of the transport vehicle when braking suddenly and can better absorb the forces acting on it in this position.

As shown in Figure 2, the rear flap 9 is open and is closed after loading. Safety bars 10 are provided to limit the rear of the parking space 1.

When loading, the horse steps onto the front flap 8, which is designed as a ramp, and is led to its parking space 1 via the front entrance 6. The rear flap 9, located at the rear exit 7, is open so that the animal being transported has the impression of walking through an open passage. After loading, the front flap 8 is closed first, followed by the rear flap 9. To unload, only the rear flap 9 is opened, after which the safety bars 10 (Fig. 2) are removed.

The structure of the livestock transporter consists of the frame 2, the struts 3, which serve to stabilize it, and the planks 5, which form the parking space 1.
