Solche Sitz- oder Liegemöbel sind in Form von Sofas oder Liegen allgemein bekannt. Bekannte Sofas weisen eine als Sitzfläche dienende Sitzpolsterung auf, die zu beiden Seiten von jeweils einer als Auflageteil dienenden Armlehne flankiert ist. Rückseitig weist ein solches Sofa eine Rückenlehne auf. Die Auflageteile sind vom Grundgestell getrennt, um eine Beweglichkeit für die Auflageteile zu schaffen. Es ist bekannt, derartige Armlehnen durch Kippmechanismen in ihrer Neigung relativ zur Sitzfläche zu verstellen. Auch für Liegen ist es bekannt, Kopf- und Rückenstützbereiche, die als Auflageteile dienen, mit Hilfe von Kippmechanismen in ihrer Neigung relativ zur übrigen Liegefläche zu verstellen.Such seating or reclining furniture is generally known in the form of sofas or loungers. Diese Aufgabe wird dadurch gelöst, daß das Auflageteil dem Grundgestell um eine zentrale Drehachse zwischen der Lehnposition und einer zumindest ungefähr um 180° verdrehten Liegeposition mittels einer Halterung beweglich zugeordnet und wenigstens in der Lehnposition und der Liegeposition relativ zum Grundgestell festlegbar ist, wobei die Drehachse deart ausgerichtet ist, daß die Drehachse die Sitz- oder Liegefläche - in einer Draufsicht auf das Sitz- oder Liegemöbel gesehen - zumindest ungefähr halbiert und - in einer Vorderansicht - gegenüber der Ebene der Lehnposition flacher verläuft. Dabei kann das Auflageteil als Armlehne für ein Sofa oder auch als Kopf oder Rückenstützteil bei einer Liege gestaltet sein. Bei der Gestaltung des Sitz- oder Liegemöbels als Sofa sind vorzugsweise auf beiden Seiten der Sitz- oder Liegefläche entsprechend gestaltete Auflageteile in Form von Armlehnen vorgesehen. Dadurch, daß die Drehachse flacher verläuft als die Ebene des Auflageteiles in seiner Lehnposition wird bei einer um 180° verdrehten Positionierung des Auflageteiles eine flachere Neigung in der Liegeposition erzielt, die vorzugsweise horizontal und damit fluchtend zur Sitz- oder Liegefläche ausgebildet ist. Die Lage der Drehachse - in einer Vorderansicht des Sitz- oder Liegemöbels gesehen - entspricht vorzugsweise der Winkelhalbierenden zwischen einer oberen Auflagefläche des Auflageteiles in seiner Lehnposition und einer horizontalen, die Sitz- oder Liegefläche aufweisenden Ebene, wodurch die in der Lehnposition nach unten weisende Auflagefläche des Auflageteiles in der Liegeposition die obere, etwa horizontale Auflagefläche bildet. Die Halterung kann dabei entweder als lösbare Steckverbindung oder auch als Schwenkmechanismus gestaltet sein. Bei einer Steckverbindung wird das Auflageteil in einfacher Weise aus der Lehnposition vom Grundgestell entfernt und in der um 180° umgekehrten Liegeposition wieder eingesteckt, wodurch das Auflageteil in einem flacheren Winkel zur Sitz- oder Liegefläche ausgerichtet ist, vorzugsweise etwa horizontal zur Sitz- oder Liegefläche fluchtet. Diese selbsttätige Überführung in die Rastposition gewährleistet automatisch ein Einrasten und damit ein Sichern des Auflageteiles in der jeweiligen Endposition, ohne daß weitere Bediengriffe notwendig sind. Die Sicherung kann jedoch auch in anderer Art und Weise verwirklicht sein.
