The folding box is cut as a one-piece cardboard cut and allows for a simple unfolding process. Furthermore, when the customer "unpacks" it, the folding box enables a positive presentation effect of the contents of the folding box, namely the cup and saucer, which is not possible with known folding boxes. The fact that many wall elements are double-walled means that the folding box is very stable.

01) Folding box (10) with essentially cuboid-shaped outer contour for packaging a cup (50) with saucer (52) with the cup (50) arranged on the saucer (52) with

- a floor wall element (12),

- two opposite side wall elements (16), a front wall element (18) and a rear wall element (20) formed onto the base wall element (12) via fold lines (14) and

- a cover wall element (24) formed onto the rear wall element (20) via a fold line (22), characterized in that

- a side wall flap (28) which can be folded into the interior of the box is formed on at least one side wall element (16) via a fold line (26), the height (H 2) of which is greater than the height (H 1) of the associated side wall element (16), so that during the folding process the side wall flap (28) curves convexly into the interior of the box,

- in the edge region of the side wall flap (28) facing the base wall element (12) in the folded state, there is a slot (34) into which the edge contour of the saucer (52) can be partially engaged, and

- on at least one side edge of the cover wall element (24) a cover flap (38) is formed which can be folded onto the inside of the cover wall element (24) via a fold line (36), on the side edge of which a projection flap (42) is formed via a further fold line (40), which has at least in some areas an outer contour (58) which corresponds to a predeterminable inner contour of the cup (50) and in the folded state can be brought into engagement with the inner contour of the cup (50) at least in some areas.

- a side wall tab (28) with a slot (34) is formed on both side wall elements (16).
