Um Ecküberschnitte zu vermeiden, die oft spätere Kanteneinrisse und dadurch Undichtigkeiten zur Folge haben, insbesondere bei Zinkblechen, werden die Schnitte zu kurz geführt, so daß das Eckstück nicht vollständig abgetrennt ist, es muß dann durch mehrfaches drehen und biegen per Hand abgerissen werden, dies verursacht unsaubere Ecken und zusätzlichen Zeitaufwand. Zweieckige, das heißt U-Form ähnliche Ausschnitte müssen bisher mit mindestens drei Schnitten durchgeführt werden, was aber auch nur selten gelingt.
