Gattungsgemäße elektromagnetische Stromauslöser gemäß FIG 2 werden zur Erkennung von Überströmen, insbesondere von Kurzschlußströmen, bei konventionellen elektrischen Schutzschaltern angewandt, um ein- und mehrpolige elektrische Verbraucher vor unzulässigen Betriebszuständen zu schützen. Diese Schutzschalter können Leistungsschalter, Motorschutzschalter und Leitungsschutzschalter sein. Sie müssen Überströme je nach geltender Vorschrift innerhalb bestimmter Ansprechgrenzen abschalten. Zu diesem Zweck sind die Stromauslöser mit den zu öffnenden Kontakten der Schutzschalter dahingehend' gekoppelt, daß sie diese als Reaktion auf einen Überstrom- bzw. Kurzschlußstrom öffnen und ggf. offenhalten. Gemäß FIG 2 sind solche Stromauslöser 1 aus einer Magnetspule 2, einem Spulengestell 3 mit einer Führungsröhre 4, einem beweglichen Anker 5, einem ortsfesten Magnetkern 6, einer Feder 7 und einer Stromanschlußklemme 8 zusammengesetzt. Das Spulengestell 3 mit der Führungsröhre 4 besteht aus isolierendem Material. Um das Spulengestell 3 ist die Magnetspule 2 aufgewickelt oder aufgesteckt. Der in der Führungsröhre 4 beweglich gelagerte Anker 5 bewegt sich entgegen der Federkraft der Feder 7 als Reaktion auf einen Überstrom- bzw. Kurzschlußstrom. Hierdurch wird über entsprechende mechanische Koppelglieder ein Öffnen der in der Strombahn befindlichen Kontakte erreicht.
