In klinischen Tests erwies sich Ingwer sogar als äußerst effektives Antiemetikum, ohne zu Anzeichen von Sehstörung, Schwindel oder Müdigkeit zu führen; diese unerwünschten Nebenwirkungen treten beim Einsatz alternativer Wirksubstanzen häufig auf.
