Bei einem bekannten Einkaufswagen dieser Art ist das ortsfeste Teil der Ablage durch zwei stabartige Teile gebildet, welche die hinteren Stützteile der Träger verbinden. Das bewegliche Teil schließt nach hinten mit einer Aufkantung ab, die einen quer zur Schieberichtung des Einkaufswagens angeordneten Quersteg trägt, an dessen Enden je ein in Längsrichtung des Einkaufswagens weisender Stützabschnitt angeordnet ist. Der Quersteg und die Stützabschnitte bilden Anschläge für auf die Ablage gestellte Gegenstände. Damit gleiche Einkaufswagen platzsparend ineinandergeschoben, also gestapelt werden können, sind Anschläge an den vorderen Stützteilen angeordnet, die beim Stapelvorgang dazu bestimmt sind, ein in Gebrauchslage befindliches, nach hinten herausgeklapptes bewegliches Teil der Ablage eines vorausbefindlichen Einkaufswagens in die Nichtgebrauchslage zu drücken. Unterhalb der als Korb gestalteten Abstelleinrichtung für Ware befindet sich wahlweise ein Abstellrost, auf den sich bei Bedarf ebenfalls noch Ware abstellen läßt. Obwohl die Länge des Quersteges so gewählt ist, daß sich die beiden Stützabschnitte in Nichtgebrauchslage des beweglichen Teiles von oben betrachtet innerhalb des Grundrisses der als Korb gestalteten Abstelleinrichtung befinden, ragen die Stützabschnitte seitlich über die hinteren Stützteile der Träger hinaus.
