Nach der Zündung des Kraftstoffgemischs steigt der Druck im Zylinder stei! an wahrend der Kolben sich im oberen Teil des Zylinders befindet und fällt beim sinken des Koibens sofort ab. An einem Indikatordiagrarrim ist dieser Vorgang zu erkennen. Bei den zur Zeit verwendeten starren Pleuelstangen wirkt die Kraft in dieser Phase in einer sehr ungünstigen Richtung auf die Kurbeiwelle, so daß ein großer Teii der Kraft auf das Wellenlager wirkt.After the fuel mixture has ignited, the pressure in the cylinder rises sharply while the piston is in the upper part of the cylinder and immediately drops as the piston sinks.
