Description
Zweispurige Fahrräder besitzen meist Starrachsen mit Achsschenkel- oder Achsschemellenkung. Normalerweise ergibt sich durch Antrieb eines einzelnen Vorder oder Hinterrades eine dritte Spur. Radfederungen sind an solchen Fahrzeugen nicht üblich. Gelegentlich werden Sättel, selten auch das mittelspurige Einzelrad gefedert. Die außermittigen Räder können wie bei einem Kfz über Doppelquerlenker und Achsschenkel geführt werden. Die normale Abstützung der Feder/Dämpfer am Rahmen verhindert jedoch die bei Fahrrädern nötige Seitenneigung und ergibt Querkräfte auf die Räder, die die Kurvengeschwindigkeit reduzieren oder die Speichenräder zerstören.Two-track bicycles usually have rigid axles with steering knuckles or axle brackets.
