Die Erfindung betrifft ein Element zur Erzeugung eines Fußboden- oder Wandflächenbelages, insbesondere Laminatpaneel oder -kassette aus einer Holzwerkstoffplatte, insbesondere aus einem hochverdichteten HDF-Fasermaterial oder Holzpaneel, mit einer Nut- und Federprofilierung im Seitenbereich. Bei aller Umsicht und bei noch so präziser Arbeitsweise ist es nicht ausgeschlossen, daß im Stoßbereich zwischen zwei Fußbodenelementen ungeschützte Stellen ohne vollständige Verleimung bestehen bleiben, die nach dem Zusammenstecken der Fußbodenelemente mit bloßem Auge nicht festgestellt werden können und auch nicht nachträglich abgedichtet werden können. Sobald an diese Stellen Feuchtigkeit eindringt, besteht die Gefahr, daß der Laminatfußboden aufquillt und unbrauchbar wird. Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der Erfindung durch einen Kontaktklebstoff im Bereich der Nut- und Federprofilierung gelöst. Ein derartiger Kontaktklebstoff kann bereits werkseitig auf die Randbereiche der Fußbodenelemente aufgebracht werden und führt beim Zusammenfügen der einzelnen Elemente zu einem sauberen, wasserdichten An- und Abschluß der Elemente untereinander.
