The invention relates to a folding box made from a cut of foldable flat material such as cardboard for holding sandwiches, pizzas, sheet cakes or similar products for quick consumption.

To complete the folding box, a fold is made around the scoring line R between the base wall halves 3, 4, so that the side walls 5, 6 lie flat against one another on the inside. For use, the folding box is erected by spreading the base wall halves 3, 4 apart by pressing against their fold line R.
